Warning: The post you are about to read is filled with words in all caps, an overuse of parenthesis and an overwhelming amount of parental pride. Please proceed with caution.
One of Madeline's many Christmas presents was a keyboard with a stand, stool, and working microphone for Christmas. (It even has a working turntable...she's been mixin' it up for us.) Christmas night, we set it up in our living room; she banged on the keys and leaned into the microphone a few times to say "lalalala" in her soft, sweet voice. It was the most amazing thing I have EVER heard!!!! I was beside myself with happiness! No one showed her how to do it; however, she watches me sing on stage with a mic pretty frequently at church. She probably picked it up from watching me, which makes me beam with pride even more!!!!!
But it gets even better...
Today Brian called me at work, and when I answered, and all he said was "LISTEN!"- he held the phone up to Madeline, and she was SINGING to her babydoll. She didn't use real words; she made up her own song, complete with an original tune. OH MY GOODNESS I almost cried. That was the best thing in the whole world. The best SOUND in the whole world. I am so incredibly proud of her.
My heart could literally burst right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
