Today is an important day in Beasley Family History. Yes folks, today will be one that won't be forgotten. (At least, it won't be forgotten now that I am writing it down!)
Today...
Madeline had her hair put into a ponytail for the first time.
Can't you hear the music in the background? The trumpets blaring; the choir singing?! Ok, maybe that's just me. First time mother, here... I just can't help myself. The picture above is a photo of her glorious strawberry hair (what little of it she has) in her adorable, yet barely there, ponytail.

The first of many entries (that is, if my adhd can handle it...).

It is the first Saturday of Fall 2008 today. The weather has gradually been cooling (finally!); the salty Chesapeake Bay breeze is mingling with the brisk scent of another Norfolk fall (SO delicious), Christmas music now wafts through the rooms of our quaint little home (of course, these tunes took over the typically played classical station shortly after June, courtesy of my overly enthusiastic husband), and I am click clacking away at my keyboard, overusing parenthesis as always do (I just can't help myself).

In my hours upon hours of boredom, I decided that today was the perfect day to create a new blog. Nevermind the myspace blog (www.myspace.com/rachel_alura), Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/), and family photo blog (http://www.rachelnbrian.blogspot.com/) I already keep up... ;) I have decided that this will be my place to chatter away about my experiences, from the everyday simple things, to any potentially extraordinary events that, if left undocumented, would quickly become faint shadows in my (extremely) forgetful brain.

So here it is... my first post. Hopefully the next post will be slightly more interesting.
